What to bring, wear and eat
- Sunscreen – Make sure to get one that protects from both UVA and UVB rays.
- Drinks – Hydration out on the ocean is extremely important.
- Snacks/Easy Lunch – Depending on the length of your trip, you may get hungry. There is a grocery/gas station with some great options called The Trading Post you may want to check out.
- Non-skid, Non-Marking, rubber-soled shoes – Sneakers are perfect.
- Hat – Hats with brims provide shade and decrease the risk of too much sun exposure.
- Lip balm – Lip balm with sun protection will stop your lips from getting chapped out on the water.
- Sunglasses – If you chose, you could purchase polarizing sunglasses that cut through the glare on the water to give you a better view of the fish.
- Swimsuit – Once you see the water, you may not be able to control yourself.
- Windbreaker – This will protect you from spray and keep you warm on early morning starts.
- Light-weight shirt – Wearing a shirt will protect your arms and shoulders from sunburn.
- Light-colored clothing – This reflects the sun to keep you cool in hot weather.
